  1. As a group (crowd mentality) both the Sox and Yankees fans are classless.  Many stories of beer throwing and harrassment of other fans.  But when you get 1 on 1 with them, true fans are just that, fans. Many of whom know as much, if not more, about your team as you do.

  2. That was Karma! What he did to his wife was so awful Instant Karma is going to get you right in face!!!

  3. Come to boston and figure out. how are we mean? Friggin Joba is the one going after Youk.  for what. like the 3rd time? That clearly shows YANKS are the  ones with no class. Did you not expect someone to get hit today? come on.

  4. well, i guess when you're in a deep rivalry all morals are thrown out the window..

which is so interesting to watch from an outsiders' point of view ^^

  5. they're not only mean but no class at all!!!!

  6. Joba throws at Youk's head every game, so shut the f*ck up.

A-Rod is the most classless player on the Yankees, so yeah, they cheered when he got hit in the arm. Same way the Yankees booed JD Drew for winning the All-Star game and threatened Papelbon's pregnant wife.

  7. I liked Red Sox fans before 04 when they were lovable losers.

  8. Boston fans are just as bad as NY fans. Moron Boston fans level out moron Yankee fans, and they give classy Yankee and Sox fans a bad name. After this, the Sox fans have lost the right to complain about the all-star game treatment as far as I'm concerned. I felt bad for them that game, but this is terrible that they cheer when A-Rod gets hurt. Of course, a lot of Yankee fans cheered when Manny almost got beaned in the head two years ago, so it's all even.

Bottom line: there are good and bad fans of both teams, but I wouldn't cheer anyone getting hurt or threatened (like Papelbon's wife/A-Rod getting drilled). I'm not that heartless, and it's sick that some people are.

EDIT: Oh, man. I just KNEW I'd get thumbs down from some Sox fans with my comment about "losing the right to complain". =P

And Katy, it isn't that we didn't expect it, it's just the reaction from the fans is the problem.

  9. I agree... god d**n! that pitch could have injured him or damaged him for life$

  10. Just posted a question myself because I didn't see yours.  I totally agree.  I mean, A-Rod is by no means my favorite player, but I have never heard a cheer that loud for someone getting potentially hurt.  Totally CLASSLESS!!!

I mean, Boston and NY fans are going to go at it proving a case for each side, however, I have not heard NY fans cheering after someone may have gotten hurt as the Boston fans did today.  And look at all the cursing that you Boston fans have already posted to this question.  CLASSLESS!

And last but not least... Joba DID NOT intentionally throw at Youkilis last night.  Not winning late in a 1-0 game.  NEVER!  Girardi would have had his @$$!

  11. Excuse me??!?!?!?!?!?! Did you or did you not see Kevin Youkilis get about half an inch from getting purposely hit on the head the other night? and then it was called a STRIKE because he apparently hit it off his bat, although it was only self defense from trying not to get hit! Now, THAT pitch could have injured him or damaged him for life! and don't even get me started about the All-Star Game  when every time a Red Sox member was called up the entire crowd at Yankee Stadium booed! I would call THAT mean.

  12. i agree. just because they are losing again they are turning into a**holes

  13. no woah

red sox fans are the cruel ones

  14. i agree. when youkilis almost got hit in the head, i didnt hear any yankee fans cheering.
