How menny gallon tank do i need for a real train horn (leslie rs3l)?

i was going to get a 3 horn used train horn (prob like a leslie rs3l) for my truck and i was looking at 5 gallon tank but i would like to get a 3 to save space. ovesly common sense says to go with a 5 gallon but do i need that much or do i need more. and i will have a onbord air compressor

  1. In most jurisdictions a railroad locomotive horn would not be legal on a motor vehicle. It would exceed the maximum decibel level allowed.


  2. Go for at least 20 gallon tank, those horns use a lot of air.
