Question:

How might I find myself again- I don't even know who I am anymore?

Are there certain things I can do to help me discover myself....I feel like I'm losing the person I am and that every reaction is thought over before I actually experience the moment. I act how others would expect me to or how they themselves would. Who am I and how do I feel about certain subjects? Those questions are some that I can not currently answer. I feel confused and just need something that will make the fog vanish and make who I really am more clear. Any help?

  1. make yourself smile. do something that you know puts a smile on your face. Don't act how others would expect you to act and don't ever ever become them because them is them and you are you. You need to spend time alone, do things that you would never dream of doing (anything that is not to crazy like drugs and stuff though). Just do you, no matter what.

  2. Thinking that you know nothing is the first step in enlightenment.

  3. That feeling means your 'self' is trying to find you.

Take a bit of quiet time each day to just sit and listen for it.

It'll come, if you let it.

Some call it 'meditation, it's really just listening.

  5. if you get any good answers, could you plesae forward them to mettalica, theyre starting to really suck.

  6. Go back to the place you first "found" yourself.

Although Albert Einstein was certainly not a Buddhist, these statements sound much like it:

"A human being is part of a whole, called by us the 'universe', a part limited in time and space.

He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separate from the rest

    - a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.

This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affectation for a few people near us.

Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion

to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

"Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one."
