It seems McCain is strenuously avoiding a running mate with the political influence that the present VP has. I also see the Palin choice as a counter to the Democrat's rejection of a female running mate and Republican hopes of snagging more female votes. I hope she can spell potato. Will it work?

Glad you enjoyed my first answer. Still have the curtain and lever booths here. Once did the punch card voting, and if you don't use your hands you get a lot of chads as a male voter, very painful. All that hopping to hit a punch pin.

It's almost always a stretch to ask political questions in R&S but this is stretching it to the breaking point, not to mention that it doesn't make sense.

I've read this 5 times and still don't know what you are talking about.  Republicans will win less votes with McCain's choice in VP.
