  1. nerves are what cause contractions in muscles, so many muslces would begin to lose their functioning ability.


  2. nerves are used to trigger muscle contractions and extensions

    if the nerve is slowly destroyed those signals get weaker and stop, the muscles end up not being used as much and they atrophy (start to break down).
