I'm recently a vegan and have been looking up alternative medicines, i never knew i was into it and used to think it was a hoax, but in my mind i always believed the same theory that they believe (way to go tv to make me think a certain way).

anyway, i was reading that B17 aka Laetrile, can and should be used as preventative medicine. It is found in the seeds of various foods.

Does anyone know how many seeds i'm suppose to eat? I know it comes in bamboo shoots, plum seeds, and cherries, and those are the 3 that i will tend to eat most, so i'm wondering how many of those i should eat a day in order to reach the "recommended amount".

  1. Basically, the seeds of any fruit, except citrus, have laetrile.

These also contain laetrile:   They're loaded with nutrients and very good for you but not because of the laetrile.

    bean sprouts

    grape seeds

    lima beans

    macadamia nuts

    blueberries

    blackberries

    blueberries

    strawberries

"Vitamin BI7 (Laetrile) - Vitamin B17 releases cyanide ion and these molecules

can block important enzymes and kill things. Reports from Europe and iMexico

indicate that Laetrile can relieve the pain of cancer and once in a while slow or

cure the disease.  This has never been substantiated in any U.S. studies."

B17 (laetrile) is not a vitamin.  It is highly dangerous and has no proven nutritional or health value.

I was not able to find an RDA for B17, probably because it is not considered a nutrient.
