  1. One study using CO2 fluxes estimated that the Amazon accumulates about 8 moles of CO2 per m^2 per year (Grace et al. 1993).  So thats about 80000 of CO2 per hectare.

    Another study in the Amazon found that aboveground dry biomass increased by about 1.22 Mg per hectare per year (2).  This is biomass, not CO2, but biomass correlates closely with CO2.  

    However, changing tropical forest dynamics may make tropical forests a source of carbon, rather than a sink (3).
