  1. As a pharmacy tech, I learned that the human body, male or female, can only absorb 500mg of calcium in one dose, whether it is in pill form or through dairy or plant sources.  You can take calcium up to three times per day, but more than that is useless as your body cannot use it.  When taking calcium, you MUST take magnesium with it, otherwise, again, you are wasting your time and money.  Magnesium is REQUIRED for the body to metabolize the calcium we ingest in whatever form.  Otherwise, our body will take the calcium from our bones, forming spurs and arthritis.  The rest, we pee out of our systems, causing damage to our kidneys.

  2. females above the age of twelve should recieve 1200-1500 mg of calcium every day.  I'm not really sure about the benefit with sore heals but it will hopefully prevent any problems with brittle bones and osteoporosis in the future

  3. Calcium just like vitamins should always be found in natural sources.

One of the best sources of calcium is raw milk. Raw milk has tremendous benefits over pasteurized, the two don't even compare.

Your body needs vitamin D, Our bodies can not even absorb calcium if we do not have proper Vit D stores.

The best thing to do would be to get some Raw milk, and then some high vitamin Cod Liver Oil.

"Children over 12 years and adults: A maintenance dose of cod liver oil that provides about 10,000 IU vitamin A daily"
