  1. Don`t let these pool Snobs (:> talk you out of getting something "cheap" to bang on at your house.

    Esp. Since you`re a beginner.

The "Sharpning thingy" is your "tell".

It does`nt "sharpen" Anything. Simply roughs up the tip some, to better hold chalk.

If you don`t mind used, keep your eye out for a "Going out of Business Sale" at a Billiard parlor or bar.

Also, checkout your local Coin-Operated service shop (ask Any bar).

As Straight ALMOST said, you have to go with what your budget can handle.

    BTW, Straight!

If you`re paying Close to a grand for "used bar boxes", have I got a DEAL for you! (:>

If you`re just Dead set on a New table, don`t rule out the Wally Worlds!

I was surprised at the quality of the Sportcraft York 90 my wife bought me for Christmas `06 for $250. Even has K66 cushions.

The leather drop pockets, Old World carved Claw Feet, and wood grain Apron satisfies the `ole lady`s fancy decorating taste.

WARNING `tho. You may get some undesirables coming over wanting to play constantly (:>

  2. Better plan on at least $2500-$3000 for a good table If your a serious player and its for your home dont buy a cheap one ,just to bang around on $500-$750

  3. I'm afraid that there's no average cost for a table with accessories package.  It could range anywhere from $500 to $50,000.  It's going to depend on the quality of the equipment.  If you're looking for a used bar box, you might be able to get one for under $1,000.  A new 9 ft. table from a dealer, may run upwards of $3000.  An antique Brunswick may cost over $20,000.  You just need to decide what you want and shop around.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.
