  1. it will change depending the design and mission of any aircraft ....

    if you want to do some aerobatic with glider, then look that glider's g-force capabilities  and choose stronger one.

    max take off weight / max weight that wings structure can carry =how many G an aircraft can take.

    dont break your wings :=)

  2. 2 g's

  3. A barrell roll is not a high-G maneuver.  It can be begun at any altitude if you have enough speed.  17 feet isn't too low for Bob Hoover when he's gliding an AeroCommander.

  4. Competitive gliders have to be able to withstand up to +6G's and -3G's.

    That's a lot more than is required for aircraft to be certified under both normal and utility categories.

  5. That depends on the design of the glider.

  6. If you want something in gliders that is "worth" anything performance vise you would surely go for a glider called Fox it's performance data states that it is able to take a beating of +9g and -6g

    Have a look at this page

    Most "normal gliders" that is also aerobatic rated can take about +6.5 to -4.5 a good example is the ASK21 or the SZD59 ACRO
