How much Irish do I have in me?

Heritage wise, how much Irish do I have in me? Everyone in my family was born in England but my mums grandfather was born in Ireland. My grandfather always seemed very culturally irish to me because of his father.

Just wondering how you figure it out. It seems americans always go by last names since their european ancestors were distant. My mums last name is Irish.

If your mom's grandfather was full-blooded Irish and not simply born in that country, then you are 1/8th Irish (12.5%).  Your granddad was 50% Irish, your mom is 25% Irish, and you're 12.5%.

your half and half that means your half Irish half English you maybe be half Scottish half Welsh so am i were all Celtic the English is made up of lots of different ethic groups
