She is one month old and was switched to soy about 5 days ago. Since then her bowels are very firm. She isn't even getting that much out.. How much syrup? How often? For how long? Thanks!

  3. All three of my children were on soy for different reasons.  Two of them got constipated from it.  Their pediatricains recommended that I put an ounce of Dark Karo Syrup into four ounces of formula.  If she only drinks two ounces at a time then only put a half ounce of syrup.  They make two kinds of karo syrup dark and light.  Their pediatrician told me that only the dark one works for some reason I do not know.  Hope your little girl feels better.  This works well and fast.  Usually within an hour or so.  Maybe sooner.

  4. ha...i always wondered this.  And this happened when i swtiched my daughter to soy because of how often she was puking.  Anyways i just put a squirt of it in every bottle for like a day or two.  It usually cleared up by then but im sure you could use it for longer.  It obviously wont harm them because they have been using karo syrup for like ever to fix this
