  1. Being a baseball fan for me is like being addicted to drugs.  I would go through some serious withdrawal in order to not be able to watch the Mets.  I tried to not watch the Mets for a couple of days when I could have easily watched them, and I just couldn't do it.  My curiosity got the best of me.  So to answer your question I would go crazy without being a Met fan.  I would not want to sell my love for the Mets.  MY LOVE FOR MY TEAM DOES NOT HAVE A PRICE!!!

  2. I would hold out to get as much as I can, take the money and still root for my team anyway.

If someone is foolish enough to give their money away like that then they are foolish enough to actually believe I would stop rooting for the White Sox. So, I wouldn't want to disappoint them by not taking their money.

They will never be able to control who I root for deep down inside.

  3. 500 billion quad zillion dollars  might change that

    i bleed Cubbie Blue

  4. NOTHING

    LETS GO MARLINS

                                              FROM MARLIN BOY

  5. I think for an older fan it would be easier to take money and dump their team because baseball isn't the same today as it was 20 years ago when I was your age.  When players can take the money to leave one team and go to another, sometimes the biggest rival of there team, then why shouldn't fans do the same if offered money.  Example, Johnny Damon going from Red Sox Nation to Yankee Country because they offered him 52 million versus "just" 40 million.

My appologies for the rant about players but thats how I feel about them and how I'd be able to justify it.  I don't think anybody would truely turn down a suitcase full of millions of dollars to stop being the fan of their team.  It doesn't make sense and people are answering in order to get the 10 points because you said no money would make you change that.  For me it would be harder to stop following baseball for money than to stop following my favorite team for money.  Baseball is such a part of my life it would be hard to envision myself not even checking a box score or watching a highlight for the entire season.  Not watching opening day or as its known opening week.  Or watching the All Star game or following the trades or watching the series in October.  Or watching all the off season drama.  Basically I feel we all have a price and I sadly would stop being a Dodger fan if someone actually handed me a suitcase with enough money.  Now if you said I can't follow baseball period, then no money is enough.

    I hope that makes sense.

  8. $20 million dollars.  Oh wait, this is the baseball section, not football

  9. For 1 if somebody offered you a million dollars you would take it

    for me 100,000

  10. My love for the Yankees goes beyond any monetary value.

  11. Hey, not even Donald Trump can pay me enough to make me stop being a Dodger fan.  I'm born a Dodger fan and always will be a Dodger fan to the end.

  12. no one could offer me any amount of money right now to stop being a cubs fan

    Next year who knows

  13. I would love the Dodgers no matter what. Maybe this amount of money would change my mind $1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,0...

  14. No amout of money will stop my love of the Rockies and Giants. I will love them for eternity!!!

And this is how any real fan would respond to such a stupid question.

  15. Nothing. Texas is my team forever.

  16. i would never stop being a yankee fan........ for all the money in the world.  GO YANKEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. Idk. I could be paid millions of dollars to try to stop being a yankee fan. But i think i just couldnt do it. Id be all messed up without the yanks.

  18. I can't say no amount of money - because everyone has a price.  It would take enough money for me to be able to buy my own major league team to stop me from being a Royals fan.

  19. All the money in the world wouldn't make me stop being a Red Sox fan.

It's weird...if someone offered me $500 to give up drinking energy drinks, I'd do it in a heartbeat. But if someone offered me $500 million to give up being a Red Sox fan, I just couldn't do it. I could try, but I know I couldn't do it. I guess it goes beyond "addiction" and into "passion" and "obsession." :)

  20. Bill Gates might be able to do this - I enjoy playing sports, but am getting more and more disgusted with the drug use within the professional ranks
