Can you please explain ur question some more, You meant about the quantity of pollutants ?  it cannot able to say the quantity, broadly we can only say that tonnes........

not sure exactly, but according to a New Scientist centrefold, 2002 data, china is among the countries emitting more than 1000 million tonnes of CO2 emissions. however the rate of increase was less than 300% compared with 1975. other countries in the same category are the US, russia and japan. india is the other country with comparable emissions, but its rate of increase is at 300% or more compared with its emissions in 1975.

for interest, countries in the next group, emitting 500-999 million tonnes of CO2, are canada, britain and germany, although for both britain and germany, their emissions in 2002 have decreased compared to 1975.

the centrefold also has a bar chart of several selected countries, data from 2003. annual CO2 emissions per person in china was 2.7 tonnes. by comparison, japan is at 9.4 tonnes per person, UK at 9.5, russia at 11.2 and US at 20.0 tonnes per person. india is at 1.0 tonnes per person.

not sure about other types of pollution, though.

I can't say overall, but I was reading an article recently that stated Chinas mining industry produces more pollution than all of the vehicles in the US combined on an annual basis.
