  1. You should not put rice cereal in your baby's bottle.

  2. you should have gotten this information from your doctor when he suggested this practice.

I wouldn't trust anyone on YA to give you the correct info.  Call your doctor and ask.

  3. i'm in the same boat as you... its 1 tsp for every 4 oz.  so 1 1/2 tsp for a 6 oz bottle.

although you may not want to increase the nipple flow normally, you may need to do so with t hese bottles, they get clogged easily, and he'll get really upset when nothing is coming out.

also, enfamil sells pre-made A.R. formula.. which is the same thing.  (added rice to thicken it..)  the rice may constipate him as well.  check with your ped if this happens, mine switched the rice cereal to oatmeal..or you can add a very small amount of veg oil to the bottle when this happens

to  be honest with you though, my son has not seemed to do much better with the added rice.  it'll thicken the spitup, but still will come in large quantities

good luck though!! i feel for you.. i'm praying they grow out of this soon! (oh, and receiving blankets as opposed to burp cloths work wonders lol)  :)

  4. my son is 5 weeks has reflux i was told one teaspoon per 4 oz so you 1 and a half how old is your son

that formula is enfimal ar it sucks

  5. You can get formula that is already thickened with rice I forget the name of it Sorry but it will say on the label and that would be easier and the best cause adding cereal to formula and getting it to come out the nipple is a pain unless you have a special bottle and nipple the formula is a enfimil brand.

  6. About 1-2 tsp. You don't want it too thick, as it will clog in the bottle(unless you have a cereal feeder), or too thin, as it won't help. Just start with 1 1/2 and see if it helps, if not, go up to 2, and 2 1/2. Good luck!

  7. None, bottles are meant for liquid not rice cereal.
