  1. To put it simply: A lot.

  2. try this website. you register where you are now and what you want to achieve and they provide a free plan to swim to

    http://www.swimplan.com/?gclid=CPyiuJGhv...

  3. 2 miles a day

  4. um well i'd say like 30 laps in an olymic sized pool!

  5. at least 3 times a week for a hour...

  6. ok its hard without knowing you personally- like are you a bit overweight/ unfit at the moment or not?

    when i swam & felt fit i probably did 1500- 2500m 3 times a week.

    try breaking it up tho.

    *use kickboards to strengthen legs

*use bands around your ankles or the floating thingos to sit between your legs(cant remember what theyre called- ask someone at the pool theyll know) (without kicking) to strengthen arm and stomach muscles

*make sure you mix up all strokes- freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, breastroke.

*perhaps even mix up ur training types- swim one day, run the next, cycle the next.

  7. It depends. But usually about 800 to 1000 meter everyday or at least every other day would be good.

  8. it would depend on your body type and how often you would exercise. at a minimum of 1500-2000 meters every other day, mixed with the four strokes, kick board, and paddles. its also works very well to have predetermined times and swim sets to keep your pace and improve.

  9. I do 3 miles every other day

  10. That depends on a lot of factors, do you do any other type of exercise, what is your diet like, how efficient of a swimmer are you etc.
