Question:

How much USD to go from Charles de Gaulle airport to Eiffel Tower?

I'm staying at a hotel in the CDG complex and need to reach the Eiffel tower for a dinner cruise. What can I expect to pay for a cab? Is there a better way to get there (keep in mind that my husband and I will be in evening dress for our dinner, so the less walking, etc., the better. I'd like to look fresh when I get there!).

  1. in evening dress get the taxi......you'll need euros but it's approx $60+tip 1-way...the dollar is terrible

check if your hotel has a shuttle into paris or can arrange the taxi, sometimes when the hotel does this it is less expensive & they'll add it onto the hotel bill..

  2. this is where i would go to answer that question.

    arthurfrommersbudgettravel.com

    or cruisecritic.com

have a nice time in paris.

i didn't find anything on google for your question. but you could try googling paris transportation.

    best--

  3. Why on earth did you book a hotel out by the airport?

  4. I suppose that the taxi will be the best way for you to arrive fresh. You can expect for approx. 50 euros and don't forget the traffic so, take your time.

  5. Use buses, they are very convenient and cheap

  6. about 60 usd...

  7. At the current rate of exchange the trip will cost about $65 each way.

That. of course, is one reason why its usually not a very good idea to stay at a hotel by CDG when visiting Paris.

Of course, there is public transportation in the form of the the RER commuter train that will get you into the city for only a few dollars. The difficulty there is that it stops running  shortly after midnight which makes for a very early evening by Paris standards. Further, it might not be the thing to be riding while in evening dress.

  8. it will cost you about 40€ ($53) by cab and 19€ ($25) a person by metro. Personally I think a taxi is the best way.

  9. One way public transport ticket (RER & Metro) from CDG to anywhere in Paris is 8.20 Euros.  You'll need to make one transfer in Paris.  That will mean some walking, but not much.  Plus the last trains are quite early in the evening (midnight to 1AM)

Taking a taxi will be more relaxing and elegant for you, but also more expensive.  It will easily be around 50 Euros.  Don't forget to tip the driver!

So now you have all the info.  Have a great evening!
