How much Xanax/alprazolam can I take?

My doctor prescribed me 1 tablet of 0.25mg a day, but is it OK to take one and a half?

If the 1 tablet isn't working, then yes, it's ok. The 0.25mg is the lowest dose, and goes up to 2mg.

Call your doctor and ask, explaining your anxiety isn't being controlled with only .25mg.

.25mg is a low dose, so I would think taking another half should be fine.
