  1. it depends on the laser. it could range from nothing to burning a hole through to the back of your head and out

  2. I agree with your first answer...there are too many variables that are involved....but it's simply not safe for your eyesight.....so not worth doing it at all.

  3. I hope not much!  I have pointed them at many people and even myself. This could be bad!

  4. Depends on the strengh of the laser.  "toy" or laser pointers are really harmless.......but any light directly in your eye is bad (you ever been told not to look directly at the sun?)

  5. depending on the wattage. less than 15watts then nothing but above 15w - 50w minor non-permanent damage, anything more, serious damage.

  6. The danger from a laser depends upon its wavelength, power and divergence.  It is possible to have permanent eye damage, and even skin damage from very powerful lasers.

The best way to determine the danger is to look at the warning labels (required by law) and the class of laser.  (Lasers are classified as Type 1 through 4).

Even laser pointers, which are a maximum of 5mW, are labelled class 3a, and should not be pointed into someone's eye. (So be careful about what other answerers are saying.)
