I'm just curious. I'm 6'1", 138 lbs [on average], only 16 years of age. I've had my fair share of different drinks, including vodka (the real stuff; Stolichnaya's my favorite), rum, hard liquors, whiskey, and malt beverages.

Smirnoff 12oz are 5%, a shot of whiskey would be 40%, vodka I believe is 15%, Tia Maria or Kahlua is 26%, and Bailey's Irish Cream or Amarula are both 17%. I believe beer (Miller, Bud, etc.) are only 3.5%...

On estimation, about how much would it take to be all-out hammered? I don't mean just buzzed and feeling good, I mean, drunk enough with the possibility of having a hangover the next morning...

The reason I ask is -not- so I can get drunk, but so that I know perfectly how to limit my intake, in case I do want to try several drinks, but want to know what I can and can't try at that moment.

[Don't start bickering about legality. In the state of Georgia, under attendance of legal guardians in your own home, you are allowed to have alcohol. Look it up.]

  1. Because you only weigh 140 and are kinda tall and haven't drank much, I bet 3 stiff mixed drinks or 6 beers would mess you up pretty bad if you down it fairly fast. This is just a guess so don't go out and get alcohol poisoning because of me. If you drink slow you can gauge how drunk your getting as you go and in this manner find out your own limits without getting all sick and stuff.

  2. I'm about the same height and weight as you, and I'm 16 and I've drank a couple times before, and the only time I've ever been completely hammered was when i drank a whole water bottle oh Svedka Vodka and drinking beer in between to get rid of the taste of the vodka.

it was a pretty good night, but a bad morning. haha

but i don't know how much the alcohol percentage was

  3. This entirely varies according to gender, weight and age.

Both the AMA and MADD have charts on intoxication.

If you mean legally drunk, about two mixed drinks or three beers.

  4. most liquor drinks like tquila, vodka, whiskey are 80% proof.

and it really depends on what you ate, you only know your tolerance. i never knew until i got drunk, but it takes more and more if you start drinking alot. if its your first time, then it probably wont take much.

and everyone who tells you about, how you have to be 21 to drink. thats all bullshit, you know they started drinking before 21. no one really waits
