How much alcohol should I buy?

I'm having a party tonight for 10-15 people and I need to know how much alcohol to buy. I was planning on getting beer, Mike's, Smirnoff Ice, and some hard liquor but I don't know how much or what kinds. All 21-24 years old, probably going to play beirut and other games. I don't mind if there is some extra left over because I'll be able to use it another time but I don't want to run out.

depends how messed up u are trying to get....

maybe 1 30 pack and 1 18 pack of beer, a 12 pack of smirnoff ice, a 12 pack of mikes, and a handle of vodka or rum.  dont forget the chasers

Its hard to say though how much everyone drinks and how drunk everyone is trying to get.  And if you play 6 cup beirut or 10 cup and how many beers per side

Then have a BYOB party and that way you will not run out and what you buy can be the left over.....or buy a pony keg depending on how much everyone drinks just make sure everyone does no get drunk and attempt to drive home.  I am sure the guilt would be unbearable if someone was killed from all the liquor.

1 or 2 bottles of the hard stuff (depends on what you want it for, and if most ppl want beer)

for the hard liquor, you can pick out a drink that people want, and then use Liquor Live's drinking calculator to determine exactly how much liquor you need to purchase based on # of drinkers and # of drinks/ person. For example:

For beer, go with 2 cases, better safe than sorry. With Mikes, go with a case again.

well for 15 people your gonna need alot of liqour...if it was me i would get 5 big bottles of hard liqour(grey goose,patron,henesy,gin,absolute etc.) and some beers and some red bull

If you have enough money, then get:

-6 pack Blue

-6 pack Coor's Light

-6 pack Mike's or Smirnoff's

-6 pack Mott's Caesar

-26oz bottle Tequilla

-26oz bottle Rye or Rum

-26oz bottle Vodka

-26oz bottle Amaretto

Then you need mix- 4L of each

-Coke

-Sprite

-Gingerale

-Orange juice

Then you need plastic cups and ice, and you should get cans rather than bottles, if possible, for the beer.

....and your party should be good, just make sure you get everyone's car keys, recycle afterward, and that should be enough for 20.

When you're planning a party, they say estimate 1 drink/person/hour, but with the 21-24 crowd, I'd double it.

If you have a costco in your area go there and buy 2  variety cases (20 count) or buy enough one person per hour and buy some wild turkey or grey goose to take between beers. have lots of other drinks ready ie. water or juice or even milk works to calm down the happy feeling when praying to the porcelin god. Just remember that you don't die from drinking too much unless it is your weight in liqour it has to do with how fast you drink it and for how long. slow and steady give you a good time to REMEMBER! drink to fast and your asking your friend why there are unsightly pic of you on her myspace.
