How much alcohol to buy???

Question

I am having my 30th birthday party. I have invited about 60 guest mixed men and women. All within their 30's. We are serving hawaiian bbq. The party starts at 6 and hopefully end around 11. We have bought the following:

2 24 pks Corona

1 case miller light

1 case bud light

punch bowl of Spanish Sangria

Patron tequila with margarita mix

Does this sound like enough???

For 60 people, if they're all drinkers, that doesn't seem like enough to me. It looks like you could get another case or two of beer, and maybe some hard alcohol with a mix.

If it were me, I'd rather overbuy than underbuy!

Depends, how many people drink and how many beers they'd have each, I think you need abit more beer.

If your guests are light drinkers, you should be good. Since it is a long party, you may want a little more. You have about 2 beers/person, if my math is right, plus mixed drinks. If they are heavy drinkers, you definitely need more.

It could be but maybe to be safe you should ask some people to help chip in or bring some more and besides party ending at 11 once you start drinkin and havin fun you won't want it to END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get more beer for sure and whatever brand you get more of make it the one YOU like the best so if there are left overs they are worth drinking... I wouldn't have gone with a keg because some many people drink different stuff. Maybe one more bottle of Tequila. Happy 30th Birthday!!!

I realise that this idea is too late and moot, but try having a party without alcohol; you don't need to drink to have a great time-I don't imbibe and I feel just fine!

I'd get some more beer.  5 hours is quite a while, so figure on 2 drinks per person per hour if they're partiers, which it sounds like y'all are!

Usually someone will bring something with them, though.

By the way, considering all you spent, why not just get a keg?

I would get a couple of boxes of wine, 1 red and 1 white with that. Also have you got mixers and soft drinks for drivers/non drinkers?

I guess it depends on how heavily they will drink.  When you think about the Corona, miller & bud light that is only 1.6 beers per guest if all 60 show up.  Maybe 1 more case of beer and maybe another bottle of tequila & margarita mix.

Not even close. Well i guess it depends if your guest are big drinkers. Cuz what you got now thats only about 1 drink per person. A keg should work maybe some more hard liquor.
