How much alcohol would i need to get rly drunk?

im 14, 5 foot 7, and 179 pounds. last night with a few friends i had 6 shots i think, of different alcohols, the worst one being a 95 proof clear drink, the least alcoholic one being like 17 proof. i think iu had two shots of 17 proof baileys creme, then 1 shot of 40 proof, 1 shot of this amber looking stuff that i dont know the proof on and then 2 shots of the 95 proof clear stuff, and after all that i remember being able to function properly, make taquitos, walk a straight line and go to the bathroom.

Basically, idk if im just good at holding my alcohol, or if i didnt drink enough, or if the shots we took wernt a big as i thought they were but i think it was roughly an ounce and a half of liquid or less for each shot.

basically i just wanna know, maybe i was drunk and i just didnt know what the feeling was or something like that but either way, any ideas or any thoughts?

By the way, dont judge me, we did it in his house, we didnt go outside, we had chasers and we were in his room, were all normal kids who dont smoke or do drugs like weed or cocaine, we just wanted to have some fun. im not asking for you to be my mom, im just asking for any input, or good ways to get drunk fast or for you to tell me what i did wrong, etc etc. im not one of those obese kids either, whenever somebody guesses my weight, they usually say around 140 or 150, so just basically, dont judge me. thanks.

  1. Despite being 14, and you weighing 179 pounds, I'd take a stab at guessing you could take more alcohol than I can (not that I'm recommending it). I can take about 6-7 shots of 80 proof (40%) alcohol and I'll be done for the night. That's my approximate limit.

    But your limit depends on your genetics and the type of alcohol you drink (not just proof-wise but you need to factor in distillation/filtering methods as well when you want to consider your hang over the next day -- the lower the quality, the larger the hang over).

    I recommend taking it easy and slowly work up to your limit. I've been drinking for years and I usually drink slow and know when I've hit my limit. One time I drank too much too fast, and it all came out and I blacked out. So be careful.

    Another note: even though I can drink a lot of shots, a pint of German beer (some stuff that's around 7-10% or 14-20 proof) will finish me for the night. It all depends on the drinker.

    i think you would know if you were drunk, unless you passed out.

    to get drunk fast, you have to drink a lot in a short amount of time. also, mixing your alcohol (ie. long island iced tea has a lot of different types of alcohol in it) gets you drunk quicker. you'll also get drunk fast if you don't eat much before drinking, but that can also make you sick faster.

    not judging, but i think you'll find that getting sh1tf4ced drunk isn't as fun as you think it's going to be.

    I would estimate your BAL was at about .030

    And here is a list of symptoms for differn't blood alcohol levels

    # 020 Light to moderate drinkers begin to feel some effects.

    # .040 Most people begin to feel relaxed.

    # .060 Judgment is somewhat impaired.

    # .080 Definite impairment of muscle coordination and driving skills. This is the legal intoxication level in most states (including California).

    # .100 Clear deterioration of reaction time and control. This is legally drunk in all states.

    # .120 Vomiting usually occurs (unless this level is reached slowly or a person has developed a tolerance to alcohol).

    # .150 Balance and movement are impaired. At this BAC. level an equivalent of 1/2 pint of whiskey is circulating in the blood stream.

    # .150-.25 Most people begin to experience blackouts

    # .300 Many people lose consciousness.

    # .400 Most people lose consciousness and some die.

    # .450 Breathing stops. This is a fatal dose for most people.

    A lot of the reason you are "good at holding" your alcohol is your weight there is lots of you to dissolve the alcohol into, also if you ate before that will help keep you level cuz it slows the rate of absorption. Your genetic history and sensitivity to alcohol all plays a factor as well.

    Not to be your Dad, but you really shouldn't be drinking hard like this, a beer with your dad on a hot day is one thing, taking shots with your friends for fun is another. Just be careful and stay safe, too many young people get into trouble these days.

    You're 14. Don't drink. That's setting yourself up for a pretty S****y life if you're looking to do that at that age.
