How much algebra do I need for high school chemistry

I'm taking chemistry this year in high school and they said I need to have a good understanding of algebra. Algebra is not one of my strong points, so I would like to study some extra algebra before school starts. What kinds of algebra will I be needing to get down before chemistry?

  2. chemistry requires quite a bit of math. Know how to solve equations for variables. I would work on some basic algebra 2.

  3. To start, you need enough to be able to add, subtract, solve for unknowns in linear and simultaneous equations.
