How much amp outage does a standard 1991 honda accord have?

Im trying to buy new speakers for my honda and want to know how much amp outage does a 1991 honda accord have? Also, what are the best speakers to buy and where can i get them?

  1. I replaced the 6x9's in my girlfriend's 1993 Accord EX a week ago and they said 15w on the back, but I believe that's peak not RMS. They're probably more like 7.5w or so RMS. If you're on the stock radio, you're definately not going to see more than that 15w at the speakers, so if you want to take full advantage of new speakers you need to get a new head unit and an amplifier for the speakers. Though even just a new head unit would be a good improvement.


  2. Well I'm not for sure but my 1997 Honda Accord had an amp outage of 15 watts X 4 channels. Each of the four speakers say 15 watts on them. I'm fairly sure Honda didn't begin upgrading speakers until the 2000 model so i would guess that your amp output is around 15 watts per channel.
