I am going to Swansea next summer and we will probably go into London one day so we will take whatever train thing everyone else takes but I am not sure what the train is called. Anyway how much would it take to go from Swansea to London and how long? THANKS!

  1. Swansea is one of the furthest towns from London. Being on the western tip of Wales, it takes about 2 and a half hours on the train going through Bridgend, Newport, Bristol and Reading.

The good thing about going by train is that if you book in advance at www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk, you can get Advance Singles that can cost as little as £12 for an adult. Walk up fares (bought on the day of travel) can be up to £60 return. So think about that, book in advance and you only pay £24? Good huh.

Just remember to book as early as possible, otherwise the cheap seats sell out, and the price will go up.

    Alternatively, check out Megabus.com

Coach tickets from as little as £1
