How much and what type of oil for a 2003 VW Golf with 2.0 liter gas engine?

My friend wants me to changed her oil, but she doesnt know where her manual is. Whats the oil capacity and recommended oil weight for her car?

VW Recommends you change the oil every 5,000 miles/6 months whichever comes first for regular and synthetic oils. Then you should only put 4.4 quarts in a 2.0 liter engine. Oil weight is 5W30.

use oil : 5W30 regular oil. Don't buy cheap stuff. If you want to buy a good oil buy : Synthetic Castrol 5W30 . It also depends how much thousand miles the car has! If you want to check again call the VW Dealership. Buy 5 courts.
