How much are GOLF BALLS WORTH?

We live behind the 4th green of a lovely 18 hole golf course. My little dog hides in the bushes, and runs out and grabs the golf balls when they come over the hill.He brings them home---but, we've got over 6000 now! It's time to get rid of them.

  1. The kids around the course where I play sell them back for about $1 each, but I don't know how many they really sell.  Did you ever consider that an irate golfer might take a swing at your dog if he catches him stealing the balls.  Not very neighborly on your part to steal balls off the course.  Anything landing in your yard would be yours to keep, but sending the dog out to swipe them - not very nice.

  2. I'd say here you've got two options. You can try to sell them as (experienced) golf balls back to the golfers somewhere near the course for a decent profit.

If you want to unload them all, call your local driving range. 6000 golf balls are a commodity, and a friendly city-run driving range would surely buy them from you in bulk. When you sell in bulk you typically sell for pennies a ball, which add up when you have so many.

My recommendation is to take out as many Titliest Pro-V1's or Pro-V1x's as you can and sell those individually. As new those sell for 4 dollars a ball! In decent condition you could sell those for a dollar a ball, or 5 dollars per half-dozen. If it's a country club you live near, you're better off taking your balls to a more relaxed local course.

    Hope this helps!

  3. Depends on the kind of golf ball and the shape its in. I have a golf ball business and would be willing to buy them From you at a fair price. chamberlain6401@yahoo.com

  4. it matters wat type

  5. While on tour with the mini golfers of AZORES (Azore Islands) [Autonomous region of Portugal], We started collecting different colored golf balls to see what kind of a collection we could build. In the end f***y O'Rear and Ferris Wheeler had a bug fight over who would get to take home the massive collection. Finally as a mediators Mike Hunt and Warren Peace stepped in and divided the balls between Buster Cherry and Buster Hyman both mini golf pros from Hacker Valley, WV. Well to make a long story short we all met up a few months later in my home town of Beersville, PA and sold the balls to the highest bidder. For fun I brought my statistician friend Pepe Roni who was home from school in Nirvana, MI , to keep track of our average ball sale. So here is a quick break down of our average price per golf ball color. The top 5

    • Magenta $3.11 a ball

    • Zucchini  $2.19 a ball

    • Bronze    $2.03 a ball

    • Gold        $1.77 a ball

    • Eggplant $.94   a ball

I really hope this helps with your question sorry I could’t offer more.

  6. In the UK and in good condition approx 10p each. If you have any with the professinals name on then they could be worth a lot more

  7. My God, you are so resilient! the neighbour's house has burnt down; his son, the little bast*ard is 'doing' graffiti everywhere; he's had a break in (were they illegal immigrants, you didn't say); his cocker spaniel has been squashed by a 4" x 4" and you still have the resilience to worry about golf balls.

P.S. What do you think the postage of the balls (not the cocker spaniel's) to the U.K. would be?!?

    LOL

  8. If you sell them on ebay you could get alot of money for them or you could take them to the golf course desk and sell them to them and they might give you 25 to 75 cents a piece
