Varies to what people want to charge really! Best bet is to buy from a private person.... Try a local newspaper or have a look in places such as the Quokka if your in WA... or your states local commercial newspaper! =)

Theyre going to need them eventually!

You can pick them up for between $100-200 at the RSPCA - that's where you should be getting a non-pedigree dog. Backyard breeders are doing it for the money, the puppies they produce are often sick (sometimes they don't recover) and they will cost you a fortune in vets' fees. You will need to get them vaccinated anyway, or they risk dying from horrible illnesses such as parvovirus.

Unless you're planning on taking the pup straight to the vet to get it's vaccinations it's not worth getting the dog.

They need to have immunity to all the common diseases and to have been checked by a vet to guanantee they are healthy.

IMO You'd be better off going to the RSPCA animal shelter and buying a dog that is healthy and in need of a good home.

They have all different types of dogs including Chihuahuas.
