  1. It usually cost about $50.00 for 30 daily contact lenses.  If your lucky your eyes will be similar and you only have to pay for the one type of contact lense. If you have different prescription for each eye you will need two types of contact so double the price.

I suggest you use either the dailys or the ones that stay in your eyes for the approx month. They are cleaner, less maintenance and less chance of infection in the eyes.

I use contact lenses and have very little trouble.  Just rest your eyes from the use of them as often as you can.  So wear glasses on weekends or when your at home.

  2. That is a question I would ask your optometrist. Or if you are going to purchase online, I would check the websites.

  3. A 3 month supply for both eyes will usually be around $100, or $140 if you need correction for astigmatism, using fortnightly or monthly disposable lenses.

The consultation fees can vary considerably to be fitted with contact lenses, from about $50 to $200. Average is about $140. Trying on a contact lens to see what you think is often free, but check first.

  4. If you haven't worn contact lenses in the past you will need to be fit and trained to take care of the contact lenses.  Do you have vision insurance? If you don't a full eye exam runs about 83.00 and contact fitting 120 -160.  Disposable contact lenses for every day wear run about 200-300 for a year supply (depending on whether you need spherical or toric lenses).  Contact lenses are great.
