  1. It varies by state and CITY -- call your local City Clerk or look on their website. links below.    Generally around $35-40, some states are higher, to apply for the license.  A courthouse wedding is an additional fee, it's $25 in New York City.

Changing your name is free if you do it yourself, links below.

You can pay a service to do it for you, usually about $80 - not worth it.

    Social Security form, link below

    DMV office

[You have to visit the DMV in person, and bring your marriage license]

    Passport Office

[You have to send your marriage license and passport - so if you're traveling for your honeymoon, book the travel in your maiden name]

    Also change:

    Credit Cards

    Bank Accounts

    Lease, Mortgage

    Utility Bills

    Insurance

    Health Care

    Post Office

    Wills

    Voter registration

    Professional associations, memberships

  2. it depends on the state you plan on marrying in. I think when my husband and i eloped in tennessee on vacation in the pigeon forge/gatlinburg area it cost us about $50 for the license

  3. brother in-law just did it, it's under 50 dollars I think, but you have to make an appointment, usualy a judge will only preform a wedding one day a week.

  4. It varies by locale. Check your local courthouse to find out for sure. Our license in St Thomas was 100., I think in Pennsylvania it's much less, though.

  5. Depends on the state.  In Florida, for example, it's $93.50 for the license.  If you want them to perform the ceremony, I believe it's an additional $30.

  6. Dam pick up the phone book and call the court house where you live  I have never seen such people that can not use ther own brains   try going to your states web site

  7. It depends on where you live!

In my state, it's $35 for the marriage license and $7 for the driver's license update. Everything else like Social Security card, bank cares, etc. are free.
