  1. No idea.

    The best way i believe is to email the tunisian tourism guide. info@tourismtunisia.com

    if not try this http://www.bonjour-tunisie.com/contact.c... another way of contacting them.

    It's a great country though! Just came back from TUnisia last week and i miss the weather so much!!!

  2. Cost of living depends entirely on your lifestyle. The average income for most Tunisians is between 200-500TND (£89.62-224.04, €112.30-280.74, $166.67-416.67), although there are those who make more, and some who make less.

    --Rent/mortgage will depend on where you live, what part of the city, how big the house is, what type of amenities, etc.

    --Both Water and Electricity are paid every three months. Average water is under 10TND (£4.84, €5.61, $8.33) for three months, and average electricity is about 35-50TND (£15.68-22.40, €19.65-28.07, $29.17-41.67)every three months (it will be more if you use an air conditioner in the summer and if you use a central heater in the winter).

    --Food prices will vary depending on how many people are in the family and how often you eat meats and how much meat you eat. It will also vary depending on if you eat at home or eat out a lot.

    Meat prices vary depending on they type of meat (cow, camel, rabbit, chicken, turkey, lamb) you buy. Meat is sold by the kilo. 1 kilo of beef costs .700TDN (£.31, €.39, $.58), 1 kilo of chicken costs .400TDN (£.18, €.22, $.33), 1 kilo of turkey costs .500TDN (£.22, €.28, $.42), 1 kilo of lamb cost 1.200TDN (£.54, €.67, $1). I don't know the price of camel or rabbit of the top of my head because I never eat those! lol It is much cheaper to buy meat from a butcher in the market than prepackaged from a store.

    Bread varies in price by type also, but if you buy the common French bread, it is .240TDN (£.11, €.14, $.20) per loaf. Tabbouna is .400TDN (£.18, €.22, $.33) for one, and the fatter Arabic loaf is .350TDN (£.16, €.19, $.29). If you are looking for American style bread, it is not widely available. Sometimes you can find it in Monoprix, or other such stores, but they don't always carry it. It is also smaller than what you are used to, and is more expensive, costing 2.500TDN (£1.12, €1.39, $2.08) per bag (usually 8-12 slices in a bag).

    Potatoes are most commonly sold by the kilo and cost .600TDN (£.27, €.33, $.50).

    Other vegetables and fruits are also sold by the kilo.

    A 1.5L bottle of mineral water costs .400TDN (£.18, €.22, $.33), but most people buy them is cartons of 6 (costs 2.500TDN or £1.12, €1.39, $2.08); Just a way to not have to go to the store all the time to buy water. A 1L bottle of coke is 1TDN (£.45, €.56, $0.83), while a 1.5L bottle is 1.500TDN (£.67, €.83, $1.25). Beer and alcohol prices will probably cost you about 5TDN (£2.24, €2.78, $4.17) for one bottle in a hotel, and around 3TDN (£1.34, €1.67, $2.50) in a restaurant.

    Eating out will depend on what type of restaurant you want to go to. A fast food place will cost you about 3TDN (£1.34, €1.67, $2.50) per person if you buy a coke along with your sandwich. And actual restaurants will run you anywhere between 20-30TDN (£8.96-£13.44, €11.46-€16.71, $16.67-$25) for 4 people, including drinks, and many times dessert as well. There are more expensive restaurants available as well.

    Prices at a café will depend on which one you go to and what you order. Most teas are about 1.200TDN (£.54, €.67, $1), cappuccinos are 1.600TDN (£.72, €.89, $1.33). Milk shakes, ice creams, and other specialty items are closer to 2TDN (£.90, €1.11, $1.67).

    --If you have a car, you must figure in costs of maintaining your car, plus gas prices. Taxi rides are pretty cheap, but if you want to save on that you can always walk. A taxi ride is usually around 3TDN (£1.34, €1.67, $2.50) depending on how far you are going and what city you will be in.

    The way the money system works is this:

    1 Tunisian Dinar (TDN) = 1000 millimes.

    Paper money is in denominations of 30, 20, 10 and 5.

    Coins are in denominations of 5 &1 TDN, and 500, 100, 50, 20, 10 and 5 millimes.

    Here is some conversion for you:

    1TDN = £0.45, £1=2.233TDN

    1TDN = €0.56, €1=1.781TDN

    1TDN = $0.83, $1=1.200TDN
