  1. Being a jockey myself, where Im at we get paid a standard fee of $125.00,and any places we get 5% of the stake money.

  2. it depends on the purse of the race and the state your in. in maryland for example most non placing mounts are between 45 and 60 dollars but your bigger races will be more. jockeys get 10%  for first 5% second and third of what every the horse makes.

  3. Normally....

Win: 10% of the winner's share of the purse

Place: 5% of the second place share of the purse

Show: 5% of the third place share of the purse

None of the above: An "unplaced mount fee" which ranges from $35-$200, depending on the value of the race and track at which the race is held.

  4. well, it really depends on the race and the purse and ow good u are. it can also depend on if its ur horse or not
