How much are pop tabs usually worth?

nothing.  scrap metal is measured by the pound.  aluminum is very cheap and it would take about 10,000 tabs to make a pound.

Removable pull top cans were eliminated in many parts of the world over 20 years ago.  Maybe you could spearhead an effort where you live to use stay tops.  That would make the pop top more valuable by remaining with can when recycled vs being lost to the fate of most solid waste.

Pop manufacturers pay for them to create the illusion that you are doing something environmental.

Forget it. Your most environmental action is to avoid buying the  canned pop to start with.

Schools have some classes that save them over the school year but they "trade" them for free items at end of year. They really have no value otherwise.   :)
