How much are recyclables worth in california?

well i started to drink bottle of waters a few years ago, but i finally come to realize that i could recycle them, and so far i have about 30 bottles and i'm planning on recycling them, but first...

how much are the plastic water bottles worth a piece?

should i take the caps off first? or just leave it as it is..

should i squash the bottles or leave it standing?

and, should i rip the plastic paper brand around the bottle off?
