How much are sun conures?

im looking forward to getting a sun conure in about a mounth , ive got its cage toy's and perches , the only thing i need to know now is how much do they cost?

It depends where you buy. If it's direct from the breeder they can be as little as $250. If you buy from a large retail pet store they can be as much as $550. But a decent price would be $350.

Now, after you finally get your bird you need to know about long-term cost. By now you probably know about how messy, loud, needy and expensive these animals are to keep. So I'll save my oration.

But I'll tell you how much my single budgerigar (parakeet) has cost me. More than $2,000 in ten years. That's $200+ a year! For a small bird none-the-less!

I would triple that price for a conure, because of how fast they can destroy toys and perches.

Before you buy a "brand new" bird, may I suggest looking for bird rescues? You can google for them and look on www.petfinder.com for a conure. The rescue that I volunteered at charged an adoption fee of $150, but they are thorough about who gets the bird.
