I'm buying a Guinea Pig, and i would like to know. How much are they at Petco. And how much are they at Petsmart? Oh and are the long haired ones more expensive than the short haired ones? THANKS

They cost $29.99 at PetSmart and $34.99 at Petco.

I believe a guinea pig is around $35. Long-haired ones are more expensive then short. In some places, guinea pigs go go up to about $100!

usually $20 at both places and maybe the long hair are a little more expensive but not by much

Make sure the cage is suitable for guinea pigs. I'm sure you already know, but wire bottoms are bad for their foot pads because the wire cuts their feet and the "stairs" are not too steep. Here are some excellent websites that give great information about guinea pigs. Please look at them.

Anyway, PetsMart prices vary because of the location and managers. I guess that they cost around $20 to $40 and that's for babies. Make sure you take them to the vet after you buy them to determine the s*x and health condition. Hope I could help =D

They can run from anywhere between 20 and 30 dollars depending on where you live, and I'm pretty sure that they cost about the same for a long hair one as a short hair one. You also have to take into consideration the cost of bedding, cage, food, toys, and various other expenses.

i dont have a petco in my area, but at my petsmart, they are 21.99, long hair and shorthair were the same.

my prices may not be accurate because i live in canada, but anyway a word of advice is to get them from petsmart, they are vet checked.

guinea pigs are 34.99 at petsmart i got one about 2 weeks ago and i love it already congrats for choosing a guinea pig they are so sweet!!!!!!!!

they are normally 15$ but i think that long haired ones and babies would be 20$ also petsmart guinea pigs are very unhealthy and not treated right so you should buy a guinea pig from a local pet store not petco or pet smart
