My boyfriend is a side contractor. He is helping a lady out by installing drywall in her basement. He is installing 28 pecies of drywall. How much should he charge her? He needs to charge the lady for hanging drywall, painting the dry wall, priming the dry wall, use of his tools, and gas all need to be included. He doesn't want to get over on the lady. And if she had went threw her insurance company how much do u think they would have charged her?

  1. the things is she probably KNOWS how much the insurance company would've charged her. what is her deductable? did the basement flood?

if it did, it's not a good idea to drywall it again.

for my labor I'd charge 25 an hour, no matter how long it took, and I would not hurry.

  2. this is called doing work under the table his boss would be pissed if he knew and to charge it through the insurance is not possible because he is not a contractor so he will end up having to charge only half the real value price. this practice is very detremental to trades I know because i've been there and i've been a contractor so good luck
