I work for a mid-size company. The retiree is from another department, and I have had frequent contact with him. I don't want to be cheap nor excessive. What is the amount people usually give?

  1. It really depends on your level.  If you're a Director or VP, I'd say $50.  Anything lower I'd say $20.

  2. I'd say $50 would be a fair amount to chip in.
