  1. It depends on the number of children you are babysitting, for how many hours, the location, and your tasks (i.e., cooking dinner)

    It may also depend on how old you are. For younger kids probably 5 dollars an hour, but for 14 and up, maybe 5-10 dollars an hour. It really just boils down to what you have to do.


  2. i work in day cares and have done many babysitting jobs in the past and when you have to take the classes they recommend charging 7dollars a child. that's for Idaho and most people Ive come across do but i base it upon the parents ability the hours needed etc... and work something out that way. good luck id have to say 6.50+ if you want an exact amount though.

  3. I recently got a 17 Magazine and it had a map with babysitter's averages across the country.

    It says about $7 an hour in California.
