  1. JT is half right, per my recollection

    If they have a child, one receives the 'With Dependents' rate; and the other receives 'Without Dependents.'

    If they have no children, they both get the "Without Dependents" rate.


  2. 1 gets the dependant rate and the other gets the no dependant rate. The higher ranking service member gets the full rate. Look up both for your region and add them up.

    EDIT: oops, my bad I read fast and thought there were kids as well. So yes my situation is with kids otherwise they both get the single rate.

  3. if there are no children, each rate BAH Single.  if there are children, the senior gets BAH With D the other keeps Single.  

    like all other allowances, BAH is added to the entire pay and then split between both pay periods.
