How much bandwidth does yahoo IM use in one hour?

Question

I'm going to have an internet bandwidth limit when I go away to school soon, and I was wondering how much instant messaging would take up. I usually only IM about once every couple of weeks, but when I do it often lasts a few hours. So I want to know how much bandwidth one hour of instant messaging would use. I usually just do plain chatting, but I would also like to know how much more I would be using with a webcam and voice messaging. Thanks in advance.

with text probably less than a meg

with cam, probably 10-100 meg-ish

you can measure it with something like

http://www.metal-machine.de/readerror/

which will tell you exactly how much data you put through while you're using IM. Probably a good idea to measure it for yourself then you know the actual amount...
