How much better is Big Brown than Secretariat?

Big Brown is an amazing race horse.

He isn't.  Secretariat was THE greatest racehorse ever, hands down.  To even mention Big Brown in the same sentence is ridiculous until Big Brown at least wins the Triple Crown.

Secretariat still holds the track record for the Kentucky Derby, and won the Belmont Stakes by 31 lengths along with setting the track record.

Big Brown needs to accomplish a bit more before asking the question of how great he really is.

I don't think anyone can answer this,since they will never meet each other,but I personnally believe Big Red was in a class by himself a one in agazillion horse! His heart was bigger than a normal size, I mean that litterally its documented. BB is a nice horse but  I think its to soon to say he's any where close to Secretariat. Esp. since he already had raced alot more than BB by now.

It's just ridiculous to compare Big Brown to Secretariat.  He may develop into a great horse, but we don't know he is yet.  And comparing Big Brown's Kentucky Derby with Secretariat's, Big Brown's derby was about 2 full seconds slower than Secretariat's.  That means Secretariat would have won by 10 lengths.  Secretariat was a beast and I don't think we'll ever see one as good as he was.

There is no comparison.

I saw Secretariat run at Arlington Park in Chicago about

3 weeks after he had just won the Triple Crown (1973).

What a specimen, a horse god.  When he ran, you could

see his huge shoulder and hip muscles churning, even

from a distance, when he was running down the backstretch.

At the end of the race, when Secretariat came by the

grandstand, many fans had tears in their eyes (I was choking

up too).  We all knew that we were seeing the greatest horse

ever.

You can't compare the two yet but a believe Big Brown will be a triple crown winner.Running a 201 and some change from the 20th post isn't too shabby.
