i have a 2000 Chevy c2500 5.7L and im looking for alittle more power. now the k&n cold air says 9.72 hp gain but all the cold airs say 8-10 hp. nowhere is it listed what the $60 aftermarket factory replacement filter gives and its over $100 cheaper. is the power gain about the same or are the cold air intakes really that much better?

  1. Yeah there is. Just spend the extra it's worth it in the long run...

  2. K&N makes a killer cold air system,my brother put one on his 2000,silv.1500 w/5.3 L,and it gave him a noticeable increase on power,it alsaw helpped on gas milage, and it sounds good to when you kick it down.you get what you pay for.
