How much better is an animals senses compared to a human?

i know they have better senses but how much more.

  1. Depends on what kind of animal you're talking about. Dogs have amazing smell and hearing but their vision is extremely poor. Generally speaking, other mammals are more tuned into their senses than we are, but that varies by species.


  2. That depends upon the sense and the animal.  They don't always have better senses.  In particular, human vision is very good compared to that of most animals (admittedly, raptors have better vision than humans).  

    In the realm of hearing, human hearing is well adapted at 3,000 Hz to pick up human speech.  However, many other animals can hear tones above 20,000 Hz that humans can't detect.

    For smell, go with the bears and certain fish.  They're ridiculously better at smelling than humans.

    And so on.
