  1. Infinitely better, no doubt.

I study hauntings, myself. While things that go 'bump in the night' are fun and can be exciting to investigate, I think a researcher should always be aware that the question of whether or not ghosts exist also points to a very important question of whether or not we survive death.

To have "proof" of such a possiblity so frequently faked, and subsequently debunked, for the sake of "s**y" TV shows is so callous and insensitive that it defies description. Almost every skeptic I have ever spoken to cites this as a primary reason as to why they have such contempt for phony psychics, dubious "ghost hunters" and the paranormal in general. "Do you have any idea how important it would be to learn that we don't die when the body gives out? Do you know SICK it is to fake proof of that?!?"

Even though I'm a believer, I agree with the skeptics on this 1000%.

So, yeah...for that reason, among others, I can't imagine anything better than waking up one morning to hear the frauds have all vanished from the face of the earth.

  2. They would be a lot better off.  But then, without all of the fraud activity we probably would never have heard of the paranormal, since frauds are the source of all paranormal activity.

  3. We would all be better off without the frauds in any field, not just paranormal research.   However,  human nature is what it is, and a certain percentage of people are very deceitful.

  4. Define legitimate. I know people who claim all of us are hokey except for the researchers who work  due to grants and have actual PHDs working.

  5. The frauds that say there is no paranormal or the frauds that practice the paranormal?

All of society would be better off without either, as they keep mankind in the dark ages. But probably the frauds that deny there is any paranormal are the most dangerous, because they are detractors and keep people from growing spiritually. Usually it isn't because they truly don't believe in the paranormal but because they work for the Opponent, the one some see as evil or the devil.

Only a sick deranged troll would hang out in the paranormal groups daily telling people it doesn't exist. That is another reason why these frauds are the worst.

To tell the truth, of the people that make the most money, typically they are legitimate unless they call themselves magicians. Don't forget, even a ditch digger gets paid more if he is entertaining in what he does. So yes much of it is show and unnecessary, that doesn't make it any less real.

I think most of the population can figure out for themselves who the frauds (entertainers) are and who are the real deal.

  6. Better, it would be better for mediums like myself as well if the frauds didn't exist-as It obviously makes people conclude all are fraud's.

Parapsychologists would benifit greatly from working with someone like myself who can literally see and hear what's going on and understand the meaning behind it.

I don't think half the so called "ghost hunters" and psychics know the difference between an EarthBound Soul, a spirit visiting from the Other Side, and residual energy. Not knowing the difference can cause problems, big time with research. A researcher may be trying to test activity for Eathbounds, yet really be testing residual  and repetitive energy. Their conclusions about Earthbounds then, would be very faulty and full of errors..It would give people the wrong impression and the people who think they have an Earthbound will go nuts not understanding why it's not leaving when they tell them too.

  7. Well If there were no Frauds I would trust psychics more if I bring one into a investigation with me I dont tel them anything and I see what they get

  8. The card represents the critical factor for the issue at hand. Three of Wands (Virtue): Personal fortitude and strength of character. Accumulated power set in motion towards a distant goal. The initiation of an enduring partnership based on absolute trust. Honor maintained in a time of desperate struggle. Taking full responsibility for a decision, and bearing the solitude of leadership.

  9. infinitely better: fraud excludes research and vice-versa.

  10. No doubt they'd be much better off. There's just one problem. It's impossible to tell the difference.

  11. On the positive side, removing all the frauds would go a long way in legitimizing the honest efforts of parapsychological researchers. On the other hand, it's the frauds fooling the masses that generates the interest in paranormal, so without them the parapsychological researchers might become totally forgotten.
