    CT,are you for real?400 bhp?.....lmao.

  2. Note, bhp is engine hp, not at the wheels (= whp).  Most liter bikes today with 180-ish engine hp can hit pretty close to 200mph.

  3. 160 bhp (which IS the same as whp)

    brake horsepower vs wheel horsepower

depending on gearing of course, will get you to over 200 mph if there is no limiter to stop you, depending on weight

  4. Not much if you get the right gearing etc.

  5. 150 H.P.  at the rear wheel with the right gearing will do it.

  6. Most new 1000cc bikes will do it stock if you change out the chip. Those sleds put out 175-198 hp.

My question is where are you going to ride 200mph and why would you want to hit this speed on anything but a race track?

  7. Too many variables to have a "correct" answer.  Weight of rider/bike. aerodynamics, gearing in transmission, and gearing on final drive, air pressure in tires as this can cause excessive drag if not enough...not very many places except controlled environments that one can go 200 mph without danger of spontaneous combustion!!!

  8. Its not so much just hp that gets the speed. People were hitting the 200mph mark before 200hp was reached. gearing, weight, rpms, distance needed etc... all come into play. We built a go cart that would hit 140mph{clocked by a police car} it was only 40+ hp. Also built an old 4hp riding lawn mower that hit high 30's low 40's. Many things come into play when trying to reach high speeds

  9. I'd say at least 400hp though it depends on aerodynamics and weight as well.
