  1. Welfare in any form is unjustified. I dont care who gets more it's still my hard earned money.

  2. paradigm is a callous republican

  3. It would be quite nice to see the actual numbers in dollars given in corporate welfare as opposed to society welfare and farm welfare. I'd be willing to bet that the 3 combined don't add up to what we give away to other countries.

  4. Welfare in any form is no better than gov't sanctioned stealing. There is no reason for anyone in the US to be on welfare unless they are LAZY. There needs to be a program outside of the welfare system for those truly disabled. Maybe a program for temporary aide such as for 3 months with a repayment period once the recipient is back on their feet. Don't give me the idiotic statement that the US spends millions on Iraq or Afghanistan therefore they should spend money also on welfare. Only a person with little or no education would ever make that statement. I pay taxes to the US gov't for services such as national security and other things which if not supported by the gov't would not exist such as roads, libraries etc. I do NOT pay taxes to support others who i don't know or who I probably would never even consider giving money to if I knew them. I suggest a tax system where there is a tax for needed gov't services. Everyone would be required to pay this tax. There could then be a menu for optional taxes for things such as food stamps, welfare benefits or national health insurance. This form of taxation should please everyone. Those who want a lot of social programs can support them and those who want taxes for needed service will along with everyone else support them. Everyone wins
