How much blood is there in a person weighing 104lbs? Can she donate?

  1. The volume of blood of a person does not depend on age or height. Blood volume is the volume of blood (both red blood cells and plasma) in a person's circulatory system. A typical adult male human has a blood volume of some five liters

    5 liters = 9 pints

    The quantity of blood that can be donated depends on each country's laws but a typical donation is usually from 450 to 550 milliliters

Probably not.  Most blood centers have a minimum weight for donors, ours is 110 pounds.  As for how much blood she has, there is a formula to determie the blood volume of a person, and without a height it would be hard to say, but probably in the neighborhood of 8-10 pints of blood.  Nonetheless, it doesn't really matter how big a person is, everyone reacts to giving blood in different ways.
