am getting married and having a lunch party - I am trying to decide on how much booze to buy....

There will be about 45 people and I want to get wine / sparkling wine / beer / bitter.

Even though its a lunch party, I dont want to get too little - my friends and family are not to shy of the booze!!!!

  1. great deals in the supermarkets buy one case get one free?and whats not opened will do for the summer barbecues in the garden always have more than less congratulations and have a great time

  2. get about five of each or something like that.

  3. don't buy any tell them to drink soda or water because thats how people get hurt most of the time and that is not good

  4. If it was me, I would get:

    Wine - 30-35 bottles (3 x 45 = 135 / 4 glasses in a bottle = 33.75 bottles)

    Sparking wine - 12-15 bottles (1 x 45 for toast = / 4 glasses in a bottle = 11.25 bottles)

    Beer - 60+ Bottles (2 bottles x 30 people = 60 bottles)

    Bitter - 30 bottles (1 bottle x 30 people = 30 bottles)

This is my personal calculations, you know whether more people are likely to drink wine/beer/bitter. In my experience I know very few people who like bitter. Sparkling wine is good for toasts, but I wouldn't I wouldn't use it for general drinking really. Steer clear of Stella Artois, it can have some really negative effects on some men, making them unnormally aggressive.

  5. I would say 3-4 drinks per person, but def ask them to bring a bottle themselves, you don't want to be spending too much money!

  6. Enough for three drinks each.  Some people won't drink at all, maybe some will have 4-5.

  7. ALOT

  8. The best thing to do is go on the theory that most people will have around three drinks. Obviously some will have more, some less, others possibly none.

You don't want people getting totally sloshed on the day.

  9. get enough so everyone can have 5 drinks

  10. ask them all to bring a bottle!

  11. plenty..........

  12. get a tone of boze for the lunch

  13. is this the wedding reception?  are you having unlimited drinks?  well, i would probably say a bottle of wine per person (45 bottles), 3 beers per person, 3 bitters per person and so on.  I dunno.  It's going to get expensive.

  14. I would go for 5 each. That way, if there is extra, you can have your own little party!! Just you!!!! If they're not shy on the booze, then I would say 5 per person.

  15. Just figure 2-3 drinks per person.  Some will drink less, some more.  Also it's not like it will go bad.  You can save/return what you don't drink.

  16. dont 4get that some people will bring their own drinks eg. wine ! if i were you id get loaddds :)
